  • an effective CNC specifications document

The acquisition of a CNC machine is a turning point for a workshop or a factory. To transform this investment into success, the drafting of the specifications document (CDC) is the most crucial step. Here are the 3 criteria that we recommend detailing: The Matter / Precision pair This is the starting point. Machining foam bars for surfing or carbon parts for aeronautics does not involve the same constraints. You must specify the hardness, abrasiveness of your materials and finishing tolerances. A well-configured KMSYSTEM machine eliminates waste on expensive materials. Software intelligence and user interface Why depend on complex third-party software? A good CDC must require an intuitive interface. A perfectly integrated solution ensures quick training of your technicians and full compatibility between design and actual machining. The reliability of industrial communication In a workshop, electromagnetic interference is legion. Your CDC must specify the type of control. We systematically recommend Ethernet for its galvanic isolation and stability, unlike USB, which is often limited to recreational uses. A complete CNC specifications document is your best guarantee against unforeseen events. At KMSYSTEM, we don’t just read your CDC: we help you challenge it to optimize your profitability.

  • two technologies for various sectors

A long-standing specialist in machining centres dedicated to shape and water sports, KMSYSTEM has continued to refine its expertise over the decades. Today more seasoned than ever, we apply our mastery of technical materials to other sectors, with a simple philosophy: every industrial challenge is an opportunity for innovation. This is how our marine technologies have naturally found their place in the world of equestrian saddlery. Two technologies born facing the ocean To meet the requirements of surfboard and boat manufacturers, we have developed two major technologies in our workshops: The pin milling cutter Designed specifically for machining, it allows you to machine and sculpt foam blocks (EPS, XPS) at high speed, with a flawless finish and without tearing the material. The high-frequency vibrating knife Originally developed for the marine sector, this tool is ideal for shearing dry technical fabrics such as glass fibre and carbon fibre. The perfect adaptation to the equestrian world When a major player in horse riding challenged us to modernize the cutting of horse saddles, the answer was already in our workshop. Saddlery is a world that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and precision. We have therefore merged our technologies: The pin cutter has proven to be the ideal tool for 3D machining of quarter foams, ensuring ergonomics for both rider and horse morphology. At the same time, our vibrating knife has been calibrated to cut through thicker leathers and dense foam fillings. We now offer our famous "Double Z" hybrid machines, capable of integrating these two technologies simultaneously. Still specialists in board sports, we are extremely proud to equip today’s craftsmen and craftswomen saddlers with French machines that respect their know-how and materials, while boosting their productivity.

  • Aluminum chassis: The secret to CNC machine longevity and adaptability

When we observe a machining center in operation, we are often impressed by the spindle’s speed or the fluidity of its movements. But the real heart of the machine, the one that guarantees high performance over time, is its chassis. At KMSYSTEM, each machine is based on a structure developed from anodised aluminium profiles. This choice of material is based on three fundamental technical pillars: Structural robustness For a CNC, the chassis is the foundation that absorbs all the forces of machining. The large-section aluminum profiles offer exceptional rigidity. They prevent the machine from bending under the pressure of the tool and effectively absorb vibrations generated by high-speed movements. Result: a preserved precision and a drastically reduced tool wear. Mechanical capacity A workshop is not a laboratory. Our chassis have to deal with dust, humidity and thermal variations. The anodizing treatment gives aluminum a surface completely insensitive to corrosion and rust. It endures mechanical stress and withstands the toughest industrial environments without ever deteriorating. Modularity of aluminum Unlike a heavy and rigid steel frame, profiled aluminum offers unparalleled design flexibility. This material allows us to easily adapt the architecture of the machine to the exact dimensions of your panels or parts. We can thus offer you a truly tailor-made equipment, capable of evolving with your production needs. The aluminum frame is not a simple structural element. It is the assurance of a reliable, all-terrain KMSYSTEM machine perfectly tailored to your business.

  • Brushless motors: The heart of KMSYSTEM machines

When investing in a CNC machine, we often look at the structure or the software. But have you checked what drives your axes? At KMSYSTEM, we use brushless motors. What is a brushless motor? As its name suggests, it is a "brushless" engine. In a typical engine, coals rub to transmit electricity, creating heat, sparks and wear. The brushless motor uses pure electromagnetism to create movement, without physical contact. 3 reasons why this choice guarantees its longevity: Less wear The only point of mechanical contact with a brushless motor is its ball bearings. Without crumbling coals, the engine never loses power and requires little maintenance. Better accuracy The brushless technology allows ultra-fine electronic management. Coupled with our proprietary software, it offers high repeatability. Whether you use your first or your thousandth part, the result remains the same. More reliabilities In sectors such as shaping or machining of composites, dust is everywhere. The absence of internal sparks and the closed design of brushless motors make them particularly resistant to harsh environments. The choice of components defines the actual value of a machine. By integrating brushless motors, KMSYSTEM ensures that your production tool remains a reliable and efficient asset, year after year.

  • KMSYSTEM x F-ONE

On one hand, the passion for gliding carried by F-ONE, world leader in kite, SUP and wing foil. On the other, the engineering of KMSYSTEM in its CNC machines. For more than a year, our two worlds have connected for a collaboration. We are proud to show you our TRC machine that operates daily in the F-ONE workshops to shape, with them. Why did F-ONE choose KMSYSTEM? The F-ONE wing foil boards are not simple "boards": they are real concentrates of technology and R&D. Their design requires complex hydrodynamic curves. All this, by machining a hard material like LAB. To meet this challenge, F-ONE needed a local partner capable of designing a Made in France machining machine. But above all, they needed a machine built to meet their shape process, and not the other way around. A simple cutting TRC machine Historically we are linked to the world of surfing, making this collaboration with F-ONE sounded like an eventuality. For the F-ONE workshop, we have deployed our second machine model, the basic 3-axis TRC Machining Machine with plate. • CNC machine: Why simple control is a strategic priority

Traditionally, driving a CNC requires mastering complex languages and endless sub-menus. For our customers, this means endless errors and training delays. That’s why we chose to develop our own control software. 3 pillars for effortless steering with our cnc Reduced learning Our interface uses visual codes and natural workflow logic. A new operator can load a program, make its settings and safely start machining after just a few hours of training. A clear screen without superfluous objects. The software manages trajectories and accelerations in the background. The operator, on the other hand, focuses on the essential: the quality of the finished part. This approach reduces fatigue and values the work of the craftsman or technician. Customize according to the professions Because we master the source code, we adapt the interface to the real needs of our clients (surf sector, aeronautics, composites). Each button has a useful function, each displayed data has an immediate meaning. Simplicity is sophistication. By choosing a KMSYSTEM machine, you are not only buying a frame and a spindle, you are buying control software mastered by all of your teams. With KMSYSTEM, turn your ideas into concrete solutions thanks to a French expertise recognized worldwide. Take it to the next level with our Made In France CNC machines. • From raw material to finished part

The image of the final part is often much more appealing: on one side, a sample of thick leather straight out of the cabinet; on the other, a part with geometric honeycomb cutouts, ready for assembly. But between these two stages lies a step that redefines standards. Taming the "capricious" parts Flexible, fibrous, or textured materials are the bane of CNC machines. Unlike metal, these materials react unpredictably: The material “runs away” from the tool. The fibers fray if the cutting speed is not perfectly synchronized. On complex shapes such as honeycombs, conventional controllers multiply micro-pauses to calculate trajectories. This can cause a production cycle to drag on, penalizing your profitability and your ability to respond to the market. Since 1999, KMSYSTEM has drawn its strength from sectors where error is not permitted, such as the surfing industry, where the precision of curves determines hydrodynamic performance. We have transposed this requirement to modern industrial machining via two pillars: Rather than following the trajectory, the machine anticipates each curve to maintain a constant feed speed. The machine no longer jerks; it “glides” over the material. Speed is useless without stability. Our frames are designed to absorb the vibration frequencies generated by rapid acceleration. This rigidity ensures that the tool remains aligned, even during sudden changes of direction. The verdict is clear This acceleration does not compromise quality, quite the contrary. The absolute sharpness of each contour and the perfect regularity of the lines testify to the mastery of the process. For our customers, this means a threefold increase in production capacity with the same machine fleet. Challenge us! At KMSYSTEM , our CNC machines are designed to combine technology, robustness, and ergonomics.  Each material has its own signature. Would you like to verify the real productivity gains on your own samples (leather, composites, polymers)? Our solutions are tailor-made to meet the real needs of our customers, whether they work in industry or other sectors. • USB Cable VS Ethernet

The choice between USB and Ethernet for controlling a CNC machine is a classic debate. While USB is often the default solution on entry-level machines, Ethernet is almost always preferred in professional or semi-professional environments. Here is a detailed comparison to help you choose: USB cable: Fragile simplicity USB was designed for office peripherals (mice, printers) and not for noisy industrial environments. Advantages Plug & Play:  No network configuration (IP address) is required. Just plug it in and it works. Cost:  USB control cards are generally less expensive. Power supply:  The cable can sometimes power small control cards without an external source. Disadvantages Sensitivity to interference (EMI):  This is the biggest drawback. Motors, spindles, or even vacuum cleaners generate interference that often causes the USB connection to crash in the middle of machining. Limited distance:  Beyond 2 to 3 meters , the signal degrades rapidly. Stability:  If Windows “puts the USB port to sleep” or if the cable moves slightly, the machine stops dead. Ethernet cable: Industrial robustness Advantages Galvanic isolation:  Unlike USB, Ethernet uses isolation transformers. This protects your PC from voltage spikes and makes the connection insensitive to electromagnetic interference  from the spindle. Data flow reliability:  The Ethernet protocol better manages data priorities, which prevents micro-interruptions (“stuttering”) in machine movements. Long distance:  You can place your PC 20 or 50 meters  away from the machine without any signal loss. Disadvantages Configuration:  Often requires setting a static IP address on your computer. Cost:  Ethernet controllers are often more expensive than their USB counterparts. Tableau récapitulatif Feature USB Ethernet Ease of installation ⭐⭐⭐ (Very simple) ⭐⭐ (IP configuration required) Immunity to interference ⭐ (Low) ⭐⭐⭐ (Excellent) Cable length Short (< 3m) Long (up to 100m) Reliability in machining Risk of disconnection Very stable Recommended use Laser engraving, small wood CNC Metal machining, Plasma, intensive use With KMSYSTEM , turn your ideas into concrete solutions thanks to French expertise that is recognized around the world.
